As a photo researcher, I hand-select lifestyle images for use in print, digital, and interactive content. My approach blends thoughtful research with a refined aesthetic, ensuring that each image aligns with the narrative and allows the viewer to see themselves in the story. The images below were sourced from the Canva + Pexels collection and represent the image style I typically seek. For confidentiality, these are not real work projects, but they demonstrate how I apply my skills to curating and creating visual content.
PROJECT: 'UNPLUGGED KIDS'
Unplugged Kids shines light on the value of kids stepping away from their screens to go outside. The aesthetic is positive, active, and natural, with bright imagery that celebrates the freedom of outdoor play.
USE:
This collection could serve as the visual identity of a magazine, video, story, flyer, or even inspire a cohesive series.
INSIGHTS:
When selecting images for this theme, I focused on finding natural, candid moments of kids having genuine fun.
PROJECT: 'PLANT BASED EATING'
'Plant-Based Eating' showcases food imagery that is natural, unpretentious, colorful, and fresh.
USE:
This collection could inspire the visual aesthetic of a magazine, flyer, recipe book, newsletter, email campaign, and more.
INSIGHTS:
For this project, I focused on finding images of both beautiful and nutritious meals, with an emphasis on accessibility. I selected visuals that viewers could easily recreate at home, aiming to inspire them to incorporate healthy eating into their daily routine.
PROJECT: 'HAPPY TAILS'
'Happy Tails' is a playful curation of pet supply images that channel the joyful energy of a Labrador Retriever.
USE:
This collection is the inspiration for a natural line of pet enrichment toys, supplies, and chow for our beloved furry friends.
INSIGHTS:
I chose a Labrador because their loyal nature and energetic spirit align perfectly with the brand vision.
PROJECT: 'EXERCISE'
'Exercise' is an inspiring collage of health images that celebrate diversity, inclusivity, body positivity, and the joy of movement.
USE:
This collection could serve as the foundation for a wellness campaign promoting daily movement, highlighting how exercise can be fun, accessible, and empowering for all.
INSIGHTS:
Many exercise images often depict bodies that seem unattainable, so I focused on finding visuals that resonate with viewers of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
PERSONAL PHOTO COLLECTION
In addition to photo research and creation, I dabble in travel photography. I’ve included a selection of personal photographs and one video that reflect my understanding of photography fundamentals such as composition, lighting, and perspective. These images are not part of a curated project but are rather spontaneous moments that demonstrate my ability to observe and frame the world around me. All pictures below were shot on my iPhone.
